There are a number of different ways in which an individual can use the funds obtained from the Disabled Students Allowance. This grant can be used to acquire additional educational support, such a tutors, which will help disabled students to better understand the material presented to them.

It can also be used to cover the cost of necessary equipment and materials, such as computer programs or recording devises that will help him/her to document the material presented in lectures. Sign language interpreters, note takers, and transportation costs are also covered by this grant.
