Pa Unemployment Benefits

The best method to apply for PA unemployment benefits, which are also known as unemployment compensation in the State of Pennsylvania, is similar to the methods of applying for unemployment compensation in much of the United States of America.

PA unemployment benefits can be applied for 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year, on the internet through a website that is operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industries. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industries is responsible for administering Unemployment compensation throughout the state.

When applying for PA unemployment benefits, the applicant will be expected to supply their Social Security number and complete address, as well as the name, complete address, and phone number of their most recent employer. When submitting the application, the Department of Labor and Industries will also need to learn the reason the person is leaving their last job and the most recent pay stub the person received.

In certain cases, additional information will be needed. If the person was employed in another state in the previous eighteen months, they will have to supply the names and mailing addresses of all employers. If they were employed by the Federal government in the same period, they will need to submit information from Standard Form Eight, Standard Form Fifty, W-2's, and/ or their paystubs/ if the applicant served in the military during the previous eighteen months, they will have to submit DD 214, Member Copy 4.
